The Ocean Beach Famers’ Market takes place every Wednesday from 4 - 7pm during the winter months, and 4 - 8pm for the rest of the year, on Newport Avenue between Cable and Bacon (map).

The market hums with a frenetic energy that is heightened by the numerous street musicians, and plethora of vendors selling clothing, jewelry, and other crafts in addition to the expected prepared foods, and fresh produce and flowers. The stalls which line Newport Ave face the sidewalk, so all the action takes place in the space between the street and the storefronts.  It makes for a hectic shopping experience as you maneuver your way through crowds of people, dogs, and vagabonds.

Catering to young shoppers in training, the market has set up an inflatable castle to bounce in, and llamas to visit.
